FIAZABAD (Pajhwok): At least six members of a family have been killed and two others wounded due to roof collapse in northeastern Badakhshan province, an official said on Wednesday.
Mahazuddin Ahmadi, director of information and culture, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident took place in the Zanif village of Myami district on Tuesday night.
He said the roof collapsed due to heavy snowfall.
Maulvi Mohammad Akram Akbari, the natural disaster management director, confirmed the incident and said the injured were evacuated to a local clinic.
He added two women, as many children and two youth aged 18-year-old, were among the fatalities.
