Parentless children, convicts not to get passports

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Passport Department says children without parents, those on no fly-list and those convicted by courts of crimes will not be issued the travel document.

The department wrote on its twitter page that passports will not be issued to those prohibited from leaving by relevant agencies due to non-fulfillment of debts or other commitments.

Those convicted by courts in criminal, civil and commercial cases, children without parents or legal counsel and whose passports and biometric systems have been registered to be prohibited will not be issued the document.
