3rd round of Kung Fu competitions held in Takhar

TALOQAN (Pajhwok): The third round of Kung Fu competitions between athletes from nine provinces has been held in northern Takhar province, an official said on Wednesday.

Takhar Sport and Training Department Director Ahmad Zia Haqjo told Pajhwok Afghan News 150 Kung Fu athletes from northern and northeastern provinces participated in the competitions.

These competitions had been held under the title of ‘Peace and Solidarity’ for the purpose of explore best players, creating an atmosphere of unity and co-existence among different ethnic groups and to promote Kong Fu Sport”.

Ahmadullah, one of the athletes from Jawzjan province, said Under any circumstances, athletes strived to promote the atmosphere of unity and solidarity among different sections of the society and asked the government to support sport and athletes in the country.

He asked all youths to give place for sport in their daily schedule and ensure their health and well-being.
