AAA resumes Khost-UAE flights

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): The Ariana Afghan Airlines has resumed flights from the Khost International Airport to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The airline operated its first flight from the Al Ain city of the UAE to to southeastern Khost province via Kabul on Friday.

Imamuddin Ahmadi, spokesman for Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation (MoTCA), told Pajhwok Afghan News AAA would conduct two flights a week on Fridays and Mondays from Khost to the UAE.

He said: "This is good news for the people of Khost, as indeed the whole country. The Afghans living in the UAE will be able travel to Khost via Kabul."

At the same time, residents of Khost expressed their happiness over the launch of international flights from their province.

Sultan Mohammad Mangal, a passenger on the flight from Al Ain, called for continued AAA service on the route.

He said: “I am so happy flying into Khost from the UAE for the first time. The airline should pay attention to flights on schedule.”

Haji Sabrak Alisher, a resident of Khost, told Pajhwok with the launch of the flights, many facilities will be provided to the Khost people living in the UAE.

Earlier, flights had begun from the Khost Civil International Airport to the UAE, but were later suspended for unknown reasons.
