MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Two people have been killed and three others injured as a result of an accident in northeastern Balkh province, the Traffic Department said on Thursday.
In a statement, the department said the accident took place on Wednesday when a Land Cruiser-type vehicle collided with a car in Abdi Kotal area on the Kabul-Mazar-i-Sharif highway.
Two men were killed and three people, including a woman, injured in the collision, after which the car caught fire and caused the driver a loss of 250,000 afghanis.
The statement attributed the accident to reckless driving and ruined roads.
