KABUL (Pajhwok): The Economic Commission has approved the Ministry of Public Work’s (MoPW) report on Trans-Afghan Railway project, a statement said on Sunday.
The commission has also issued necessary instructions to relevant ministries and authorities of the government about the Trans-Afghan Railway project, the Prime Minister office for economic affairs said in a statement.
The IEA said the meeting was chaired by the head of commission Mawlavi Abdul Ghani Baradar and discussed various subject on the agenda.
The commission has also discussed a number of reports and documents such as the DP World company documents, report of Da Afghanistan Breshna (DABS) on CASA-1000 project, report of the MoPW on Afghan Trans-Afghan Railway project, DABS report on Managai dam and a draft of digitization of vehicles’ licenses and ownership documents.
Without going to further details, the members of the economic commission have approved the report of the MoPW on Trans-Afghan Railway project and made necessary instructions to relevant ministries and authorities.
The Trans-Afghan Railway Project is an important regional transportation project that aims to facilitate the transportation of international trade goods through Afghanistan to Central and South Asian countries.
