KABUL (Pajhwok): The Supreme Court has sentenced four people to jail terms and lashes for various offenses in Kabul, the court said in a statement on Thursday.
The Supreme Court said the Shakardara District Primary Court had sentenced to prison two people including a woman for illicit relations and running away from home and two others, including a woman, for adultery.
It said the primary court sentenced one man to one year of imprisonment and 38 lashes, one to six months imprisonment and 38 lashes, and two other to one year and six months imprisonment and 39 lashes each.
The decision was implemented after approval of the Supreme Court, the statement added.
