PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Two rival families have reconciled in Pul-i-Alam, the capital of central Logar province, following efforts of officials of the Vice and Virtue and Complaints Hearing department.
Spokesperson for the Logar Directorate of Vice and Virtue Maulvi Ikramullah Aziz told Pajhwok Afghan News the two families became foes about 16 years ago due to a number of problems, including the murder of a person and the fact that both families had their married daughters in their homes during this period.
“But now this enmity has turned into friendship due to our efforts,” he said, adding the two families belonged to the Stanakzai tribe and they eventually forgave each other.
Before this, a number of major and minor enmities have been resolved by the Logar Directorate of Vice and Virtue and Complaints Hearing and the Department of Tribes Affairs.
