PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Two individuals involved in the killing of four members of a family have been arrested in central Logar province.
In a statement, the governor’s media office said that on Monday night, four members of a family — including a father, mother and two children — were killed in Hesarak village of Pul-i-Alam city.
The statement added that the two suspects were identified and arrested following operations by security forces.
It said that during interrogation, the detainees confessed to the crime and stated that the main motive behind the incident was robbery.
According to the statement, the suspects admitted that after entering the house and being identified by family members, they killed all members of the family in order to eliminate evidence.
The case has been referred to judicial authorities for further investigation and the implementation of Sharia-based punishment.
