KABUL (Pajhwok): The Iranian Army has claimed it targeted US military bases and facilities in Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait with Arash loitering drones during the 24th and 25th phases of its “Sa’eqeh” (Lightning) operation, Iranian media reported.
Iran’s state news agency IRNA, citing the Public Relations Office of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, said the latest strikes were part of the ongoing Sa’eqeh operation against US military installations in the three countries.
According to the report, the 24th phase of the operation targeted fuel storage facilities, warehouses, equipment hangars and areas housing US forces at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain.
Aircraft shelters, maintenance facilities and positions housing US troops at Azraq Air Base in Jordan were also targeted by Arash loitering drones.
IRNA said that during the 25th phase of the operation, drone strikes targeted US military equipment depots at Camp Al-Adairi, areas housing US forces at Doha Camp and Camp Arifjan in Kuwait.
In a statement, the Iranian Army said the attacks were carried out in response to what it described as “enemy aggression” and vowed to continue its drone and missile operations.
The army also warned that any further action against Iran would be met with a response.
The claim comes after the United States said it had struck several targets inside Iran overnight.
