A new school building has been constructed and inaugurated in the Almar district of northern Faryab province at a cost of nearly 16 million afghanis, funded by the Kingdom of Norway.

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) will restore the khanqah (Sufi lodge) attributed to Mawlana Balkhi’s father in northern Balkh province.
