ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Five border police personnel have been killed as a result of Taliban attack in the Kang district of southwestern Nimroz province, an official said on Wednesday.
Mohammad Juma Almee, district’s administrative chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the militants attacked a security check-post in Karkai area of the district late on Tuesday night.
He said five border policemen were killed and a sixth wounded in the overnight clash lasted for two hours.
However, he was unaware of the insurgents’ casualties but said a Saracha type vehicle and several rocket shells belonging rebels were seized by policemen.
Taliban have made no comment in this regard.
