4 Daesh rebels including commander killed in Nangarhar

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A commander was among four Daesh or Islamic State (IS) militants killed in a US airstrike in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Monday.

Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the airstrike was carried out in Spin Zai area of Nazyan district. He said security forces and civilians suffered no casualties in the airstrike.

Separately, three suspects identified as Sawab, Samander and Gais have been arrested during security forces operation in Batan area of Achin district.

The IS group has not yet commented on the airstrike.
