HERAT(PAN): Pleased with Barack Obama’s re-election as US president, a number of Heart residents on Wednesday urged him to focus during his second term on finishing his agenda in Afghanistan.
Having clinched a commanding electoral mandate, 303 electoral votes to 206 for his Republican rival Mitt Romney, Obama said in his hometown of Chicago: “Hopefully, we’ll have a good day. Keep working hard all the way through.”
Residents of western Herat province welcomed Obama’s win as good news for Afghanistan.
