KABUL’s capital Islamabad.
Reports earlier said Dr. Nasir, the elder son of Maulvi Jalaluddin Haqqani, had been killed in a gun attack involving two motorcyclists in a busy market of Bharakau area on the outskirts of Islamabad.
The Afghan Taliban in a statement offered heartfelt condolences to his father, other family members and all comrades, calling Nasir’s death a huge loss to the movement.
The insurgents condemned the killing that took place three days ago, saying individuals’ deaths had no effect on the insurgency.
However, the statement did not say who killed Nasir.
