TIRINKOT/GARDEZ (Pajhwok): A newly-reconstructed stadium was inaugurated in central Uruzgan province while construction work launched on streets’ pavement in southeastern Paktia province, officials said on Monday.
Uruzgan Governor Mohammad Nazeer Kharotai, who inaugurated the stadium in Tirinkot, the provincial capital, said the facility cost 52 million afghanis funded by the Ministry of Counternarcotics.
“The government is responsible to provide education facilities for the people. I ask the youth to choose education instead of war,” he said.
