QALAT (Pajhwok): The residents of Qalat, the capital of southern Zabul province, and Shahr-i-Safa district on Wednesday demanded the government reconstruct bridges and culverts which have been blown up by Taliban-Kandahar highway.
They said the insurgents had blown up a large number of bridges and culverts on the route with landmines and the structures remained unreconstructed.
Two residents of Qalat, Noorullah and Mir Ahmad, told Pajhwok Afghan News motorists had to face problems in crossing the destroyed bridges particularly after rains.
