FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): Local officials say the ongoing insecurity in northern Badakhshan province has badly affected business activities and discouraged investments.
Abdul Haseeb Daqiq, an official at the provincial economy department, estimated at $214 million investments made in the province in 2014 compared to $128 million in 2015, showing a sharp decrease.
Presenting a report of his to civil society institutes and local people, he said the investment situation in Badakhshan was concerning.
He urged the government to take measures to ensure security in unstable areas . . .
