HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Preliminary survey of the Herat-Torgondai railways track has been launched at a cost of $1.6 million, the Governor House of western Herat province said on Thursday.
In a statement, the governor’s house quoted Governor Mohammad Asif Rahimi as calling the project important because it would connect Afghanistan with Central Asia and would play a vital role in development of Afghanistan.
The 200 kilometres railways track would begin from Tor Ghondai and through Kushk Khuna, Rabat, Sangi, Gulran, Engil and Guzra districts . . .
