FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): The acting governor on Sunday said aid from UNHCR was unjustly distributed to refugees and displaced families in northeastern Badakhshan province.
Gul Mohammad Bidar told Pajhwok Afghan News the aid from UNHCR was being distributed without coordination with the governor’s house and the provincial council.
“We are not satisfied with the way the UNHCR aid is distributed, we will bring the violators to justice after our investigation,” he said.
If UNHCR was complicit in the corruption the issue would be then shared with the attorney general’s office, Bidar said . . .
