KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Hundreds of tuberculosis cases were recorded in southern Kandahar province last solar year officials said on Monday.
The tuberculosis section head at the provincial Public Health Department, Dr. Fateh Mohammad Azizi, told Pajhwok Afghan News they registered 1,077 cases of tuberculosis last year.
“Like other provinces, the prevalence rate in Kandahar is very high,” he said, adding hundreds of patients were examined in Kandahar City, the provincial capital, and districts during the past one year.
