JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Food items, provided by a Turkish aid giving organization, have been distributed to about 3,000 poor families in Surkhrod district of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Thursday.
The poor families, working in brick kilns, said their work became further hard in Ramadan and they had to leave the work for the entire holy month.
Abdul Hakim Sherzad, Labor and Social Affairs director, said they made a plan before Ramazan to help poorest families by attracting aid from national traders and aid agencies . . .
