SAR-I-PUL (Pajhwok): The number of children suffering from diarrhea has increased with the advent of summer in northern Sar-i-Pul province, an official said Wednesday.
Dr. Rahimullah Rahim, a pediatrician at the Sar-i-Pul Civil Hospital, told Pajhwok Afghan News confirmed receiving more than 500 children infected with diarrhea at the hospital in the past one month.
He said 90 percent of the infected children were discharged after prescription but the rest with severe disease were hospitalized.
He linked the increase in diarrhea cases among children to poor nutrition . . .
