FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): Construction work on an orphanage with capacity for a thousand children has kicked off in Faizabad, the capital of northeastern Badakhshan province, an official said on Wednesday.
Governor Ahmad Faisal Bekzad told the inauguration ceremony for the building the project would be implemented by a Turkish organisation, called TIKA, in seven months. It would cost a million dollars to be provided by Turkey.
Zaki Yuldash, head of the TIKA, who also attended the ceremony, said he had seen children in the Badakhshan orphanage were in bad condition during his visit to the province . . .
