KABUL (Pajhwok): Three uplift projects, including rehabilitation of a 53-kilometer portion of the Jalalabad-Kabul highways were signed on Tuesday between the Public Works Ministry and private companies.
Public Works Minister Yama Yari told Pajhwok Afghan News the Kabul-Jalalabad highway would rehabilitated in one year at a cost of $4.7 million provided by the Asian Development Bank.
The two other projects include graveling of a 16-kilometer road costing 8.5 million afghanis from Jaghori district to Karghana tunnel in southern Ghazni province . . .
