KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): An 11-month-old baby girl has been diagnosed positive for polio virus in Kandahar province, taking the number of victims to six in the southern province this year.
Dr. Abdul Shakoor Nasrat, immunization program head at the provincial public health department, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the new polio case was registered in Arghandab district.
He said the victim was an 11 months-old girl whose family was opposed to the vaccination.
He said it was sixth positive polio case surfacing . . .
