GARDEZ (Pajhwok): Like in other southern provinces, many students in southeastern Paktia province have been without textbooks while a half of the ongoing academic year has passed.
Mohammad Saleem, a class 7th student in Babrak Khan Zadran High School in Gardez, the provincial capital, told Pajhwok Afghan News that their four-and-a half month examinations went ‘very bad’ due to the lack of textbooks.
A class 8th student, Asadullah, said some of his classmates had bought textbooks from the bazaar, but poor students could not do so and thus unable study their lessons.
