PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Dozens of people on Saturday carried out a protest demonstration in this capital city of northern Baghlan province and blocked a key road for two hours to demand shifting back the provincial capital to Baghlan-i-Markazi district.
One of the protestors, Abdul Hamid, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Pul-i-Khumri was not the real capital of Baghlan province because the city did not house all government departments.
He said the capital from Baghlan-i-Markazi district was shifted Pul-i-Khumri as a temporary measure by the then rulers . . .
