KABUL (Pajhwok): Ahmad Farid Baseem has been appointed as the new governor of northern Baghlan province, a statement from the Independent Directorate of Local Governance (IDLG) said on Monday.
“Deputy IDLG Minister Timor Sharan introduced the newly appointed governor Ahmad Farid Baseem to the provincial administration, representatives of civil societies and people of Baghlan province,” the statement said.
Sharan thanked Abdul Hai Nimati, the Ex-governor of Baghlan province for his efforts in development of governance and balanced development activities in the province.
