KABUL has affirmed its desire to end decades of conflict through a comprehensive settlement acceptable to all citizens and hold a transparent presidential election in September.
Achieving both goals was necessary to consolidate and ensure the continuity of democracy, good governance and rule of law, Afghanistan’s permanent representative to the United Nations said.
