KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): The distribution of land plots to 249 teachers kicked off in southeastern Khost province after the teachers went on strike, officials said Wednesday.
Around 249 teachers would receive the land plots at Matan Mina Township north of Khost City, the provincial capital.
Governor Mohammad Halim Fidae, addressing a gathering that marked the start of land plots distribution, said a teacher having spent a lot of time teaching would receive one plot each.
He said a number of retired teachers had also been included in the list to receive the land . . .
