Trump warns Taliban of fiercest assault

KABUL harder than ever been.

Speaking at a ceremony marking the 18th anniversary of the devastating 9/11 attacks, the president hurled the threat at the militant group on Wednesday.

Trump warned: “If for any reason, they come back to our country, we will go wherever they are and use power the likes of which the US has never used before. And I’m not even talking about nuclear power.

“They will never have seen anything like what will happen to them. No enemy on earth can match the overwhelming strength, skill and might of the American armed forces.”

On Sunday, Trump cancelled plans to invite Taliban leaders to the US for peace talks, citing a bombing that killed a US soldier and 11 other people.

The US president also called of peace negotiations with the insurgent group. The parley went on for about 10 months.
