JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Revenue from honey produce jumped to 125 million afghanis in eastern Nangarhar province this year, an official said on Thursday.
Innamullah Miakhel, the Agriculture Department spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News round 600 bee-keeping farms containing 25,000 boxes produced 500 tons honey this year.
He said one kilogram of good quality honey was priced at 250 afghanis and the 500 tons honey generated 125 million afghanis revenue, employing 3000 individuals in the province.
