PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Most of Afghan Transit Trade (ATT) consignments are either pilfered or smuggled back into Pakistan, claims a prime ministerial aide.
Adviser on Commerce, Industry, Textile and Revenue Abdul Razak Dawood told businessmen in Karachi the gross misuse of ATT caused huge losses to Pakistan’s economy.
“The transit trade agreement, which will expire in 2021, would be revised,” the advisor said. “We have proposed to fix a quantity restriction on Afghan imports...”
