PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Any peace deal between the United States and the Taliban must include a commitment by both sides to end attacks on civilians, says a global rights watchdog.
Amnesty International (AI) said on Friday civilian casualties in Afghanistan remained high. Both pro-government forces, including US-led coalition partners, and the Taliban were blamed.
In a statement, the group stressed: “They must commit to protecting civilians, and all attacks on civilians must be investigated and prosecuted.”
