JALALABAD (Pajhwok): There is no female Doctor of Medicine (MD) in eastern Nuristan province apart from the one serving in Paroon, the provincial capital, an official said on Monday.
Dr. Zakiullah Storai, head of the Public Health Department said this during an exclusive interview with Pajhwok Afghan News.
The lack of transportation facilities between Paroon and other districts has affected the provision of health services in the far-flung areas of the province, he added.
