KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Interior on Wednesday announced shutting down its offices for applicants in Kabul to prevent spread of coronavirus.
The MoI in a statement from its media’s office said the virus infection continued to spread, prompting different countries to take unprecedented measures to stave off a global health crisis.
The statement said the MoI was taking some measures to tackle the virus and applicants should not visit the ministry until announcement in this regard.
The statement, however, said individuals whose documents take less time to finish can visit the ministry.
The worldwide death toll from the pandemic has risen above 8,000. The number of infected cases stands at more than 200,000.
