Clear plan for education, higher education in 2 days: Ghani

<p><a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">KABUL</a> and higher education would be announced within next two days, adding all preparations for importing goods on transit highways were in place.</p>

<p>A statement from the Presidential Palace Media’s office received by Pajhwok Afghan News aid that President Ghani held a video conference with governors on Saturday afternoon and discussed with them measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.</p>

<p>President Ghani tasked the governors to take measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the country.</p>

<p>Ghani asked the governors to prepare their reports about <a href="/en/agriculture" class="glossify-link">agriculture</a> products to give growers confidence.</p>

<p>The president said he will hold regular meetings at the zones to carry out necessary action as soon as necessary.</p>

<p>Pointing to the need for governors to be prepared in different risk situations, Ghani noted that all governors were empowered to carry out necessary expenditures based on a supervisory mechanism.</p>

<p>He directed the governors to report on agricultural output in their respective provinces in order to assure farmers that necessary support for their crops was provided.</p>

<p>The president added that a clear plan would be finalized in two days in education and higher education sectors.</p>

<p>"There is a lot of trust and coordination at different levels, we want to give the governors more competence to speed things up," he said of governance. "Governors will focus more on <a href="/en/health" class="glossify-link">health</a>, economy and agriculture and the security sector."</p>
