KABUL (Pajhwok): Electricity bill defaulters of the past two terms in Kabul and Herat provinces would avail electricity until coronavirus restrictions are lifted, the power utility said on Tuesday.

Almost partial lock down has been imposed in Kabul, Nangarhar, Balkh, Herat and some other provinces, forcing people to close down their shops and business centres.

In a statement, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) said that fine of consumers in Kabul and Herat would be written off of the past two terms and their electricity would not disconnected until restrictions imposed due to coronavirus were lifted.

The statement, however, made it clear that consumers who were fined and their electricity was disconnected were exempted from the offer.
