AIBAK (Pajhwok): Aibak city, the provincial capital of northern Samangan province, will be locked down for two weeks to prevent the spread of coronavirus, an official said on Wednesday.
The announcement comes after 17 people were tested positive for Covid-19 while six people recovered from the disease in the province.
Firoz Takin, Aibak mayor, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the city would be quarantined for upcoming two weeks and no shop would be allowed to stay open except some medical stores in the city.
