KABUL (Pajhwok): Hundreds of angry protestors have called for the United Nations to investigate allegations of Iranian border guards forcing Afghan migrants into a river.
Hundreds of people rallied outside the Iranian consulate in Herat City seeking deterrent punishment for the guards involved in the drowning of Afghan migrants.
One of the demonstrators said the victims included his relative, who was the sole breadwinner for a five-member family. The man’s drowning had left his family devastated, he added.
