KABUL (Pajhwok): Following months of political wrangling, President Ashraf Ghani and Dr. Abdullah on Sunday signed a power-sharing deal.
In line with the agreement, Abdullah will lead the High Council of National Reconciliation. The council will have executive authority.
Sediq Seddiqi, spokesman for President Ashraf Ghani, tweeted, “The political agreement between Ghani and Dr. Abdullah has just been signed.”
He wrote Abdullah would lead the National Reconciliation High Council and members of his team would be included in the Cabinet.
