MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Eighty doctors and paramedics working at the civil hospital in northern Balkh province have contracted coronavirus, an official said Tuesday.
Dr. Nizamuddin, the hospital director, told Pajhwok the infected staff included 42 doctors, four midwives, as many nurses, three laboratory workers and 17 other workers.
He said so far 875 people had tested positive for Covid-19 in Balkh province.
According to the Ministry of Public Health’s nationwide coronavirus tally has reached 1173.
