<p>In a statement, the ministry said 341 individuals underwent tests and 81 of them diagnosed with the virus during the period, taking the overall tally to 39,244.</p>
<p>At least 41 cases were recorded in Herat, 24 in Daikundi, five in Kabul, four in Bamyan, two each in Takhar and Kunduz and one each in Kandahar, Parwan and MaidanWardak provinces.</p>
<p>About 27 people were recovered from the pandemic during the period, pushing the number of those recovered to 32,879.</p>
<p>Four individuals died since yesterday from complications of the virus that has so far killed 1,466 people throughout the country.</p>
