KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghan government-backed peace negotiating team head Masoom Stanekzai on Wednesday said the Afghans needed a peace that was achieved with flexibility and kindness rather than pressure.
A statement from the State Ministry for Peace Affairs to Pajhwok Afghan News said that the Afghan peace negotiating team members took part in a holy Quran Embassy in Qatari capital Doha.
A number of Afghan nationals based in Qatar were also present at the ceremony and prayed for the victims of the deadly attack on Kabul University.
Afghan Ambassador to Qatar Abdul Hakim Dalili told the ceremony that attacks like one on the Kabul University would never be acceptable to them.
He said the attack came while the Afghans at home and aboard and as well as the entire world were calling for ceasefire.
Afghan peace negotiating team head Mohammad Masoom Stanekai said he had no words to condemn the attack on the Kabul University.
He said, “We are losing our human capital and energy, while it must be used to bring stability and unity.”
“We need a just peace that is achieved through gentleness and flexibility rather than imposition”.
Stanekzai said they were looking forward to achieving a peace via kindness and flexibility rather than pressure.
According to him, the Afghanistan national wealth belongs to all Afghans and no one has the right to destroy it.

At least 22 people were killed and 22 others injured in a bomb and gun attack on the Kabul University on Monday.
