Minister promises buildings for Uruzgan schools

TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Acting Minister of Education Maulvi Habibullah Agha says no attention has been paid to the education sector in central Uruzgan province, promising construction of schools buildings in cooperation with partner institutions.

Agha travelled to Uruzgan province at the head of a delegation on Monday.

He said no attention had been paid to the education sector in the province during the past years.

He announced his ministry would construct buildings for schools and education institutions in cooperation with partner organisations.

The minister called modern education necessity of life after religious education.

According to him, eight million copies of books from the first to third grade have been submitted for printing, which will solve the problem of books shortage in the province.
