Afghanistan records 40 Covid-19 cases in past 24hrs

KABUL (MoPH) said on Friday.

During the period total 397 suspected cases were taken to different laboratories for test in which 40 were positive, according to the MoPH statement.

Of the fresh coronavirus cases 26 surfaced in Kabul, four in Badakhshah, three in Maidan Wardak, two each in Kandahar, Nimroz and Zabul and one case in Logar province.

The number of recovered people reached to 34,440 in the country while 1,554 people have died from the virus.

Health officials have warned against the second wave of coronavirus nationwide.
