FEFA head killed in unknown gunmen attack in Kabul

KABUL (Pajhwok): Free and Fair Election Foundation of Afghanistan (FEFA) executive director Mohammad Yousaf Rashid has been killed in unidentified gunmen attack in Kabul on Wednesday morning.

Police spokesman Ferdos Faramarz said the incident took place in Chihilsitoon area in limits of 7th police district today morning.

He said Yousaf Rashid was killed and his driver wounded after unknown gunmen opened fire at his vehicle. The driver is currently under medical treatment at the Emergency Hospital.

This comes as five people, including three doctors, were killed and two others wounded as a result of a magnetic bomb blast in Doghabad area of 7th police district of Kabul on Tuesday morning.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
