KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) is yet to implement the recommendation regarding dismissal of illegal employees from the ministry, a watchdog said on Wednesday.

Addressing reporters, officials of the Independent Anti-Corruption Joint Monitoring Organisation (MEC) said five of their six recommendations had been implemented by MoFA but only one remained untouched.

Earlier, MEC had handed over six recommendations to the MoFA regarding diplomatic missions.

MEC Committee Member MurtazaNoori said their findings showed the MoFA had implemented five out of six recommendations of MEC and only one regarding the removal of illegal employees had not been implemented.

He said MEC had told the MoFA to dismiss illegal employees from the ministry or refer them to the Attorney General Office.

He said the MoFA had assured that a letter in this regard had been signed with the Independent Civil Services and Administrative Reform Commission (ICSARC).

MEC Secretary MaiwandRohani said as part of their recommendations, the MoFA established a proper system for human resources and installed fingerprint attendance machines.
