‘Legal, diplomatic channels being used to address journalists’ problems’

KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Minister of Information and Cultural Affairs Tahir Zaheer says efforts being made to resolve contemporary issues and challenges faced by journalists, a statement said on Friday.

Zaheer expressed the views during a meeting with officials of media support organistaions in the ministry. The demanded in-depth discussion over journalists problems and exploring ways to resolved these issues.

Cultural affairs minister assured journalists that their problems were being addressed and efforts in this regard were being made.

“We are trying to use legal, diplomatic and other global ways to ensure justice for journalists and soon a meeting of international organisations, officials, diplomats and media representatives would be arranged.”
